Assay Role for MD

Boston Fieldgate MD Charles Smith has just been appointed as one of the 36 Guardians of the Wrought Plate of the Assay Office in Birmingham which is one of the largest assay offices in the world. Emerald gets assayed

Emerald Technology Recruitment have just completed a 5 year lease on 2 adjoining suites comprising 2,763 sqft of ground floor offices in the TCN Property refurbishment of the old Assay office in Newhall Street, Birmingham. Boston Fieldgate acted for Emerald.

76-84 Warwick Road acquired

On behalf of a private investor client Boston Fieldgate has negotiated terms for the purchase of a freehold mixed use – retail and residential investment – at 76-84 Warwick Road in Kenilworth close to the prime retail trading pitch in the town. The property comprises 4 shop units one of which is Grade 2 Listed – all are let, 3 flats, two stores units and a number of lock up garages with some development potential. Long time occupier of Unit 1 on Cotton Drive industrial estate in Kenilworth – Proctor Chester [Measurement] Ltd has just signed up a 7 year lease renewal on their 1,976 sqft unit with 8 car spaces at a commencing rental of £15,750pa  subject to review in 2021. Boston Fieldgate advised the landlord.

Miss Macaroon up and running

Community Interest company Miss Macaroon has just signed the lease on their first retail unit. Unit 8 Great Western Arcade in Birmingham in now being shop fitted for trading to start before the end of the month. Unit 8 offers 314sqft of ales space and has been taken on a 5 year lease at an average annual rental of £18,800pa. The lease has provision for a tenant break option at the expiry of the third year.
