What’s in a name? Boston in the USA is one of our favourite cities and Fieldgate is the name of the Lane where the office is located.
Our ethos

We work with integrity as independent experts in our areas of specialism and adopt a proactive approach to problem solving and getting the right deal for our clients. Some of our clients have worked with Charles Smith for over 30 years and this reinforces our view that long term relationships are the most mutually rewarding. We enjoy our work and a sense of humour helps us through those challenging moments we all encounter!
Our history
The practice was established in January 1999 in the old town part of Kenilworth in Warwickshire. The location gives us excellent access not only throughout the midlands but to all corners of the country so we are ideally placed to serve clients wherever they have property interests.
Other interests
Work / life balance is vital so we are actively involved with a number of other interests in both the business and community and these currently include:
Kenilworth Town Centre Partnership – Managing partner Charles is Vice Chair of the partnership and leads the Business & Investment Group
Kenilworth Chamber – Charles is a former Exec Member leading on business and investment in the town, and with a small group established the Kenilworth Business Exhibition in 2007 – which continues today as an annual event. He continues to provide input to Chamber on business, town planning and investment issues.
Rabbit Guides Ltd – Charles Smith is founder and co-owner of the company who produce Birmingham’s only full colour independent tourist guide and about to publish a fourth edition which will be in available in all good book shops! www.rabbitguide.co.uk
Matilda the office cat seen pictured right is a prize winner – she won Warwickshire Cat of the year a few years ago but fame went to her head and so no longer wants to enter any more competitions!
